Thin Lizzy "Thin Lizzy"
Reference: T/016/001
Rare First LP. Matrix No.: ZAL-10412P-3D, ZAL-10413P-3D

The debut of a great band, "Thin Lizzy" self titled album has already the roots to what we will enjoy in the future classic albums by this legendary Irish band, fronted by singer/bass player Phil Lynott, rock songs and tremendous ballads, specially the wonderful "Honestly Is No Excuse".

The sound of this early line-up of Thin Lizzy is a bit different though as they were then a power trio with drummer Brian Downey (the only other constant member of the band with Phil Lynott) and guitarist Eric Bell; the lack of budget made it an appropriate beginning but the best is yet to come.

(Note From the Author: "Honestly Is No Excuse" was recently covered by The Both - Aimee Mann & Ted Leo - on their first self titled album!).

We are proposing you here the extremely rare second UK pressing from 1971 on DECCA.
